RESIDENTS should stay vigilant following a spate of burglaries in the Alton area.

On Tuesday last week, thieves broke into a property at Complins, Holybourne, after smashing a rear patio door.

Once inside they conducted an untidy search of the entire house, including the loft, before making off with jewellery and cash.

On Saturday, October 19, burglars stole two mobile phones, a PS4 and a 32-inch TV from a property at Spitalfields Road.

Horse saddles, a laptop and jewellery were stolen from the Rotherfield Park Estate in East Tisted on Thursday, October 17.
