THREE brothers who went on a burglary spree across five counties, including raids in Elstead, Bentley and Upper Froyle, were jailed for a total of 15-and-a-half years last Friday.

John Sayers, 24, Jason Sayers, 23, and James Sayers, 20, of Rushetts Common Road, Bramley, Surrey, all admitted their part in a string of burglaries using a stolen getaway car.

It follows a complex investigation by Surrey Police to gather evidence linking the trio to 12 smash-and-grab burglaries at supermarkets and convenience stores involving the theft of thousands of pounds of alcohol and cigarettes.
