FARNHAM Castle opened its doors to celebrate the life of Scotland’s best loved poet Robert Burns on Thursday, January 25.

Guests were treated to drinks and canapes on arrival, a delicious three course meal including the obligatory haggis, and a full line up of evening entertainment including a traditional Scottish bag-piper, entertaining toasts, poetry recitals and dancing to live music played live by ceilidh band ‘Fiddlesticks’.

Upcoming events at the castle include Valentine’s suppers (February 14 to 17), tribute band Re-Take That in concert (March 16) and a Mother’s Day afternoon tea (March 11).
