A BUS driver suffered serious injuries when a large oak tree fell onto his vehicle in Witley in stormy weather on Tuesday.

The man had to be cut free from the bus after the tree struck the single-decker bus, crushing the cab.

The driver was taken to St George's Hospital in Tooting, south London.
