THANKS to joint sponsorship from Alton Town Council and the South West Trains Community Rail Partnership for the necessary materials, the bus shelter at Alton station has now been refurbished.

This involved the replacement of a missing pane, and the replacement of the two in-situ which were well past their best days.

The work was undertaken by volunteers from Alton Men’s Shed, to whom the Friends of Alton Station would like to offer their “gratitude and thanks”.
