A rebel with a cause from Farnham is vying for a national business award two years after a Covid-related illness left him fighting for his life.

It’s been a whirlwind 24 months for Mark Green as the Change Rebellion founder has gone from a hospital bed to being on the verge of national glory.

The man behind the “disruptive and impactful” firm has been shortlisted for “Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year” at the 2025 Great British Entrepreneur of the Year awards.

His inspiring story was key with Mark establishing Change Rebellion in 2023 after falling seriously ill with Covid going into a two-month long induced coma.

His firm was borne out of his time in hospital and his 20-plus years of experience in the industry.

Having become uninspired with the business change industry and spurred on by his experience of ill-health, he decided to go it alone, using his honest and empathetic approach to support workplace transformations.

He’s now supported by a growing team of like-minded consultants while his “straight talking, honest and transparent approach” has won many admirers from large industry players to household brands.

He said: “From the outset I have focused on being a radically different voice in the change management industry and have engaged with people on a human level.

“So it’s an honour to be shortlisted for the Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

“My journey to launch and develop Change Rebellion hasn’t been conventional, but my experience has given me the fearlessness to revolutionise the industry.

“The whole team works relentlessly to ensure we offer a new approach to change management, bringing the process back to basics to support individuals and teams through change within their business.”

Mark has been shortlisted for the south-east regional title with the winner set to be announced at a ceremony in November.
