THRIVING Farnham-based company, everyLIFE Technologies, is set to more than double its workforce in coming months after coming to the attention of NHS England as a pioneer in health and care services in the UK and abroad.

The company’s revolutionary PASSsystem software is an end-to-end care management solution, replacing the care sector’s reliance on handwritten notes with an innovative smart phone and tablet computer-based system.

In just 14 months the PASSsystem has become the market leader, propelling the small start-up from a kitchen table to a couple of rooms in the Regus offices in Castle Street to what is now their modern premises off Dogflud Way.

More than 180 care providers in the UK and Ireland are already employing the software, and everyLIFE expects that number to swell after its PASSsystem featured prominently in NHS England’s new Guide to Better Use of Care at Home.

“We’re very excited about what we’ve achieved in such a short time,” said everyLIFE’s CEO Paul Barry. “Our software is not only helping care services to transform the care business, but is making a very real difference to the lives of local people too.

“PASSsystem can improve the efficiency of home care by as much as 50 per cent - allowing care workers to spend less time on paperwork and more time providing frontline care, substantially reducing operational risk and improving care and care reporting.

“But the success of everyLIFE is built on the people who work here and the forward-thinking customers we have who can see how the care industry is transforming.

“We started the business in November 2014 and completed testing of The PASSsystem in February 2015. While we knew the product was what the market needed, we were surprised by the pace of take up.

“In just a few months, we are now working with over 180 care services across the UK and Ireland – and we have significant overseas interest too.”

Now, having achieved strong financial backing to the tune of several million pounds, everyLIFE is looking to expand its workforce of 18 by a further 22 people at all levels of experience and expertise.

The company is hosting a recruitment open evening at Farnham Maltings on December 7 so local people can meet the people who work there - though if you commute from Farnham to London by train you may have already met them.

Company chief operating officer Richard Lee said: “When we first started we recruited from chats on the touchline with mums and dads while we watched our kids play football.

“There are an amazing number of highly qualified, highly skilled professionals and a lot of eager youngsters too in the Farnham area and we are keen for more of them to join us so we’ve been hitting the commuter trains into London, standing up and explaining to people who we are and what we need.

“Of course we’ve had a few odd looks, but overwhelmingly the response has been very positive and we’ve already started interviewing for some positions.”

As well as attracting providers as far away as the US and Australia, everyLIFE’s customers are also closer to home and include Farnham homecare providers Melody Care.

Its owner, Simon Carter, said: “Melody Care was one of the first independent care companies to adopt The PASSsystem. We’ve already seen marked improvements in care delivery and efficiency in our business.

“By listening carefully to the care industry, everyLIFE have developed a solution that greatly helps join up the provision of customer-centred care. They are on a mission to bring the much needed technical answers to the business challenges we are all facing.”

The next step for everyLife, chief executive Paul added, is to launch its familyPASS which, for the first time, connects the family of a loved one with the care plan that they are paying for, all viewed whenever they want through a mobile app on their phone or tablet.

He said: “Our software helps care services make sure that the care you expect is the care you get. And if it isn’t, then people can find out why. Which is why we’re now launching familyPASS.”
