A Farnham woman has launched a new business which offers art and creative play classes in the town.

Local mum Natalie Barclay is offering ARTventurers arts and creative play classes for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. She also runs parties, as well as workshops for older children.

After working as a paediatric speech and language therapist for 12 years, Natalie felt the time had come for a change.

She said: “I love working with children and families and have always had a passion for arts, crafts and early years development.

“Throughout lockdown I kept my own children – Alice and James – busy and entertained with a range of arts and crafts activities, and I wanted to pursue this passion as a new career. When the opportunity came up to join the ARTventurers business, I jumped at the chance.

“I love that Farnham has a really strong community and so far it has been lovely to meet so many new people and bring parents and their little ones together.

“The classes are a great way for the children to socialise and a chance for parents to get to know one another.

“I feel really passionate about working with children, especially in early years development. Lots of parents are bringing their little ones along to classes for the first time because of Covid and lockdowns, and it’s a real privilege to be introducing them to new experiences and allowing them to explore and experiment in a safe environment.”
