A Farnham business which has implemented a four-day working week for its staff has become a first-team sponsor of Farnham Town Football Club.

IT recruitment consultancy Catch Resource Management – which provides a service for UK and European companies – will also help the club support the work of Farnham food bank this season.

Catch Resource Management sales director Phil Blackmore said: “Our approach is about building a rapport with the client, appreciating the culture of their company and ensuring any candidate we put forward has both the right skill set and the right personality to be a complementary part of their team.

“If the appointment doesn’t work out, then the person who made the appointment will look bad internally; whereas if you make them look good by recommending the right person, then they will recommend you to others.”

The company takes a similar approach to its own staff. “Effectively, each consultant runs their own business with their own clients,” said Phil.

“We’ve chosen to implement a four-day working week because we believe it brings greater efficiencies and our team appreciate the extra time it gives them to do what they want to do in their personal lives.”
