A MANUFACTURING company struck gold at a regional awards ceremony, as they were awarded winner in the Health and Safety category.

G&B Electronic Designs based in Bordon, received the award at the Make UK South region annual dinner on Tuesday, October 15.

The company has more than 30 years experience in the medical, military, aerospace and automotive sectors, with judges stating: “The company demonstrated a clear vision and understanding of the challenges and potential solutions – impressive for an SME (small to medium sized enterprise) – and integrated this into their manufacturing excellence strategy.

“Risk assessments led to multiple changes in the organisation to enhance the health and safety of the workplace for the employees.

“A structured approach to deploying the strategy delivered root and branch improvements from equipment through to behaviours and engagement.”
