A LIPHOOK business has won its first Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) award.

Transform Landscape Design and Construction Ltd won the APL award for its Surrey Hills Garden.

Part of the company – including Transform’s managing director Ben Clutterbuck and the construction team which built the project – attended the awards at The Brewery in London.

Transform won best in category in the more than £500,000 domestic garden category. Having only joined APL in June 2021, it was the company’s first opportunity to enter the awards.

Simon Gray, Transform’s founder, said: “It is a fantastic recognition of our achievement and recognises all the hard work that went into the project. The clients are absolutely delighted with their garden winning this award.”

Transform first started on the site in September 2019 – with the Covid interruptions the main landscaping finished in early 2021.

Since the completion of the project, Transform has maintained the garden and ensured it is in the best condition for its client.

The award judges said: “A fantastic project with lots of different areas, including a lot of engineering. A huge amount of planting with great attention to detail. Very well thought out.”
