A local opticians is keeping Farnham Town Football Club focused as they eye up another promotion.

Fans of the Southern League high flyers should keep an eye out for the Specsavers banners at the Memorial Ground.

The firm has also sponsored matchday programmes in a deal which will see the club receive £3,000 a season.

The partnership will run for at least two seasons while the men’s and women’s teams will receive free eye testing from the Farnham opticians along with the club’s management.

“We’re really proud to be supporting Farnham Town FC and be a part of such a fantastic local club,” said Bryony Allen, optometry director for Specsavers Farnham.

“Not only are we giving back to a beloved part of our community, but we’re also ensuring the players keep their eye health in top condition – much like the rest of their bodies.

“Whether you’re on the pitch or in the stands, good vision is essential, and we’re delighted to have a local team spreading the importance of eye health over the next two seasons, and hopefully many more in the future.”

Specsavers Farnham is one of more than 900 locally owned and run stores across the UK, with community support playing a substantial role in each store’s values.

Ed Kelsing, the commercial director at FTFC said: “Specsavers has been very supportive of the club and show real ambition in being able to increase engagement with people of the town through sponsoring the football club.

“We hope when the people of Farnham need hearing or eyesight tests, there’s only one place they consider visiting – to show Specsavers’ support for its local community is very much appreciated.”
