A FORMER award-winning bodybuilder turned beauty therapist has now created her own range of treatments for the well-groomed Surrey man.
Multi-talented Jacqueline Burrell, who is also a dancer, actress and TV make-up artist and took part in the opening ceremony at the 2012 London Olympics, has added another string to her bow with the launch of her Adonis range.
The male grooming market is booming and Jacqueline hopes to ride the crest of the wave by offering a range of treatments at Wey Hill’s new Ephesus Turkish barber, as well as the six Adonis preparations she formulated and designed the packaging for.
She drew on her training with skincare and cosmetics company Clarins at its Paris HQ, to come up with products that can be used on all skin types. During her former career as a bodybuilder, she won more than 40 trophies in competitions across the UK in the 1980s.
It has also stood her in good stead for the special tanning service she offers, so contestants can look their best under strong stage lights.
Jacqueline (pictured at the barbers) told The Herald: “It’s about time something was done for the gentlemen of Haslemere.
“Now is your time. There’s a niche in the market for men’s products and I’m hoping to get my products into a retail shop.
“My son and his friends are all using my range. I approached Ephesus to set up my ‘corner’ in their barbers and they said it was a brilliant idea.”
