DANIEL Defoe famously remarked that Petersfield was "full of good inns" when he stayed in the town in 1726.

But the writer of Moll Flanders would be equally impressed in 2012, according to the producers of a drinker's bible.

Dozens of district landlords are celebrating after being included in the 2013 edition of the Good Beer Guide.

It's been a vintage year as the majority of pubs around Petersfield have been included in the must-have guide for real ale fans.

The Good Intent and The Red Lion have made the list, while The Trooper, Harrow Inn, Jolly Drover and Pub With No Name have also been included.

One of the biggest cheers has taken place on The Square as The George is one of more than 1,000 new entries in this year's guide.
