AN art competition for children brought out the best in more than 170 young artists who let their imaginations run riot.

With the theme of St George and the Dragon, to coincide with England's national day last month, masterpieces included scenes from the slaying of the dragon, plenty of damsels in distress, and a whole host of subject matter surrounding the patron saint and the mythical beast.
