THE body of a man renowned for his jokes and "random texts" has been discovered at a beauty spot near Petersfield.

Flowers have been placed in Queen Elizabeth Country Park following the death of 27-year-old Byron Cottee.

A massive search operation was launched on September 11 after the young father from Grange Road was reported missing by his mother.

His body was discovered by a walker on War Down last Thursday morning before being formally identified as Mr Cottee.
