A RECORD 1,700 people used Haslemere Citizens Advice Bureau last year, but it may be forced to reduce its opening hours because of funding cuts.
The charity is set to lose up to 20 per cent of its training budget, around £6,000 a year, following the decision by Surrey County Council's communities and select committee to approve the cut.
It follows Surrey's earlier decision to reduce its overall funding for the voluntary, community and faith sector from £711,394 to £533,445 in 2012/13.
