ALTON CAB is urging low-paid working parents to make sure they claim Working Families Tax Credit, the earnings top-up introduced almost a year ago and paid through the wage packet.
The call follows realisation that too many families are still missing out on extra cash help intended to boost the incomes of low-paid parents.
Advisers are concerned that some people may be put off claiming because of difficulties built into the scheme.
