MOST people have plenty of tools they never use tucked away at the back of garage. Now is the chance to have a good sort-out and give these tools to a very worthwhile charity, Tools with a Mission.

The two Rotary Clubs in Farnham have joined forces to arrange a special day when all these unwanted tools can be collected. On Saturday, June 23, everyone is invited to bring their tools to the collection point at the Farnham Council Offices in South Street.

The collection point is at the back of the offices and will be open from 10am to 4pm.

There is a full list of which tools are accepted on the charity’s website, www.twam.uk/donatetools. As well as tools, haberdashery and wool are also being collected.

The charity collects unwanted tools and refurbishes them. They then make up special packs suitable for different trades, such as carpentry or electrician.

By linking with communities in the developing world, particularly in Africa, suitable kits are sent out to meet their needs. The objective is livelihood creation, to enable them to improve their way of life.
