EAST Hampshire's Liberal Democrats are calling for the reinstatement of a fully-staffed tourist information centre in Alton.

The demand comes as East Hampshire's Tourism and Marketing Partnership (EHTMP) predicts "exciting times for tourism in East Hampshire".

In a statement this week, new technologies and partnership working are said to be among EHTMP's plans to promote the district as a tourism hotspot.
