HEALTH Secretary and local MP Jeremy Hunt has called for the Government to take action against an unlicensed 'furniture shop' in Farnham giving away free alcohol.
'Innsatiable' has enjoyed a roaring trade since opening in The Woolmead in July and its owner Simon Atkins claims to have bypassed the need for an alcohol licence by giving away beer, wine and spirits free of charge.
However, Farnham MP Hunt is the latest to object to the premises and has written to the Minister responsible for alcohol licensing, Jeremy Browne, to ask if the Home Office will plug any legal loopholes which allow shops to give away alcohol as long as it is not being sold.
