THE?largest dog welfare charity has opened a shop in Petersfield.

Dogs Trust, which has set up shop at 31 High Street, offers a wide range of second-hand goods from children clothes and household items to books and DVDs.

The charity’s retail area manager, Sally Harrild, said: “We’re really excited to be setting up shop here in Petersfield. It’s a great place with a strong community spirit. We have already received so many generous donations but would be grateful for any extra items that can be spared.

“We’re stocking everything and anything from books and clothes to ornaments and household items so come on down and ‘wag’ yourself a bargain.”

East Hampshire MP?Damian Hinds (pictured) was at the opening.

“I’m delighted to be at the opening of Dogs Trust’s new Petersfield charity shop. I’m sure many local people will welcome the opportunity to support a cause close to their hearts, and possibly find out more about the rehoming work done by the charity.”

The charity shop will be open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
