A Vietnamese national employed as the "caretaker" of a Liss cannabis factory has had his jail term reduced by top judges on appeal.

A court heard Hoangvietien Hoang Vo, 31, of Poplar High Street, east London, told police he was paid £50 to sweep and mow the lawn at the property in Liss – which contained cannabis plants worth more than £120,000.

Vo was jailed for two-and-a-half years at Winchester Crown Court on February 26 this year after admitting a charge of being concerned in cannabis production.

But judges sitting at London's Criminal Appeal Court today cut the term to two years.
