THE Home-Start Winchester annual car boot sale broke all previous records on Bank Holiday Monday (August 28) by raising more than £2,100 for the family support charity.
Folk flocked to Brockwood Park at Bramdean, near Alresford, for the event, masterminded for the past 30 years by Caroline Stanley, who declared it a “fantastic” result and worth all the hard work.
Some 58 car booters filled the park at Bramdean on the hottest Bank Holiday Monday for 50 years.
All the gate monies went to the charity and the fund raising team also put up their own stall packed with goodies that were snapped up throughout the morning.
