HUGE rises proposed in the cost of EHDC services, including burial charges and pay-and-display parking fees, have caused uproar. Burial charges could rise from £251 to £651 in 2002. Parking fees are to be reviewed in July and again in October but plans to charge for Sunday parking have been abandoned.
