FIVE Liphook families were evacuated from their homes just after midnight on Friday when a vehicle ploughed through their gardens demolishing boundary walls and bursting three gas mains.
The incident happened at five minutes after midnight when the driver of the vehicle failed to negotiate the bend at the bottom of Hill House Hill as it travelled from the Passfield direction towards Liphook.
