THE Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society is pleased with the recent result from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection at Ridgway Court, Farnham.

The sixteen-bedded care home received a ‘good’ rating after a 10-hour inspection in August this year, one of only a few homes in the county to achieve this.

When talking to residents, there was positive comments on the medical care and attention they received and that they were treated with kindness and respect. And staff were seen spending time with people on an informal, relaxed basis and not just when supporting people with tasks.

The home unfortunately dipped in one area concerning recording of certain information for one resident, this was rectified on the day to ensure best practices are always upheld.

The society is happy with the result but will continue to strive to improve services to all their residents in the three care homes they have in Farnham.
