AVOID the bank holiday traffic this Monday and enjoy the peaceful grounds overlooking the River Wey as Bridge House Care Home, in Elstead hosts a Vintage Garden Party and all are welcome.

Each year the home puts on a garden party for its residents, their families and the villagers. As this is a local event, Surrey Vintage Party will be organising it free of charge in conjunction with the care home.

The event will kick off from 2pm, where residents are invited to put on their dancing shoes and boogie down to the live music which will be playing throughout the afternoon.

There will be treasure hunts, an arts and craft display, competitions for all ages with prizes, a tea tent with traditional homemade cakes and light refreshments for those wanting to have a picnic on the lawn.
