ALTON GPs stepped up to the plate during the summer to help provide medical cover, in order to maintain a full intermediate care service at Alton Community Hospital.

Doctors from Chawton Park Surgery made time within an already busy schedule to step in when Winchester and Eastleigh Healthcare Trust was unable to honour the contract due to recruitment difficulties.
