A PROJECT that supports carers in Whitehill and Bordon is heading toward its first anniversary, and has room to grow.

The Carers’ Hub “one stop shop” started at Bordon’s Chase Community Hospital on May 27 last year, and takes place from 10am to 2pm on the last Wednesday of every month.

It is being run by The Princess Royal Trust for Carers in Hampshire, based in Andover.

The trust works with a number of organisations to help people, caring for loved ones, to access support and information.

Carers are also offered advice about how to create an emergency plan for the person they care for.

The NHS South Eastern Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group is paying for the room hire for the charity as part of its efforts to attract new facilities and services to the hospital in Conde Way.

Claire Skilton, who manages the project for the trust, said: “The Carers’ Hub is a central point where various agencies come together and promote their services by having a stand and offering support, advice, information and guidance.”
