COUNTY councillor Adam Carew has heralded the demise of the bus service linking Liphook and Bordon as seeing the "wheels coming off" East Hampshire District Council's transport policy for serving the rural area's villages.
The number 12 service, which was set up by popular demand after South West Trains' dedicated rail link bus service was axed last May, and its replacement stopped exactly 12 monts later.
