WITH just over a week to go before the big event, organisers of next weekend's Liphook Carnival are looking forward to another successful event.

Having confirmed last week that Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville and Liphook Paralympics hero Olivia Breen will be guests of honours, the event is bucking the economic doom and gloom as it gears up to raise funds for charity which are becoming even more vital in the face of increasing public spending cuts.
