THE winners of this year’s sun-blessed Farnham Carnival procession have been presented with their awards by event organisers Farnham Lions and The Hedgehogs.

A trio of schools swept the board at this year’s Rock and Pop-themed procession on June 29, with Potters Gate, St Andrew’s and St Polycarp’s scooping the top prizes.

The prestigious Best in Show shield was presented to Potters Gate C of E Primary School in recognition of its inventive ‘Original Rock Legends’ float, complete with Stonehenge monoliths and axe-wielding Taiko drummers.

St Andrews C of E Infants School won this year’s Henry Liu Trophy, awarded to the best school entry, for its Beatles-inspired entry St Andrew’s Lonely Hearts Club Band , sound-tracked by a willing ‘Fab Four’ of dads.

The final trophy, the Wise & Co trophy for Innovation and Creativity, was awarded to another Beatles-themed entry by St Polycarp’s Catholic Primary School, boasting colourful fish and bobbing jellyfish chasing a Yellow Submarine.
