THE joyous sound of Christmas carols greeted commuters arriving home at Farnham railway station last Friday evening.

Carol singers from Farnham Music and Drama took to the platform between 4.30pm and 7.30pm to raise money for Marie Curie’s care and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families.

Jill Channing, of the charity’s Farnham fundraising group, confirmed they raised £645.80 and thanked everyone who contributed for their generosity.
