GROUPS serving the Bordon and Whitehill area received grant cheques at the annual town meeting last Wednesday. The Phoenix Theatre was given £7,750, and the East Hampshire Citizen's Advice Bureau collected £6,000 - each receiving the first half of the total the council has agreed to grant. The Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership was given £3,000 out of the 2014-2015 major grants budget, and Dumbfest got £950 from the 2013-2014 minor grants budget and £550 from 2014-2015 pot. The organisations were presented the cheques by Mayor of Whitehill Tony Muldoon. For full story, see this week's Bordon Herald.
