PETERSFIELD'S open-air swimming pool is set to receive a £1,500 grant from the town council following an appeal for extra funding after bad weather this summer plunged the popular community facility into financial crisis.

The swimming pool's management committee made the application for emergency funding at a meeting of the town council in November when chairman Neville Snowden revealed losses of around £8,000.
