THE bodies of three members of the same Farnham family killed in a car crash in the Caribbean last month have been repatriated, authorities have confirmed.

Ian Mansell, 72, his wife Pamela, 74, and Marlene Wright, 69, died in a head-on collision on May 2 just days after arriving for a two-week holiday on the idyllic Grand Cayman Island.

The 22-year-old male Jamaican driver of the other vehicle was also killed in the crash, described by police as one of the “worst ever” in the Cayman’s history.

A spokesman for the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service confirmed the bodies of Ian, Pamela and Marlene were repatriated to the UK on Thursday, June 22.

The spokesman added an investigation into the causes of the fatal crash is nearing completion.
