NOT only have Grayshott Primary School pupils enjoyed a performance and workshop by London Mozart Players, they also took over East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) offices for a morning.

Helped by two top musicians, Year 3 pupils learned how to play a simple piece on the violin or cello and performed in a concert.

On National Takeover Day, Year 6 spent the morning at EHDC, where they quizzed chief executive Gill Kneller, Grayshott district councillor Ferris Cowper and county councillor Floss Mitchell, taking part in a real debate in the council chamber.

Cllr Cowper said afterwards: “I was so proud of your Year 6 group when they took part in National Takeover Day.

“The pupils showed a real interest, took part with enthusiasm and engaged extensively with officers and councillors.”
