FARNHAM ASSIST, a Christian organisation supporting older people, celebrated the International Day of the Older Persons, in a Songs of Praise service at Farnham United Reformed Church.

The service was well attended by more than 100 people including the Mayor of Farnham, John Ward, and his wife, Gillian.

The service was led by Farnham ASSIST manager June Trantom with Rev Conrad Hicks giving the address.

After the service visitors were invited to afternoon tea which was enjoyed by many. Group members would like to thank all the volunteers who helped to make the event a truly memorable occasion.
