FRIDAY, June 16, marked NAPA Day (National Activity Providers Association), a day celebrated nationwide in care homes highlighting the importance that activities play in an elderly person’s life.
Hill House Nursing Home in Farnham, which is a member of NAPA, uses this day to raise money for charity as well as highlighting it’s cause.
To mark the important day, the home hosted a talent show for all of its residents, relatives and friends of Woodlands and Hill Brow Ltd.
“We are raising money for the charity Families Supporting Care, they provide financial support to families struggling to keep they loved one in the right residential and nursing home setting, something that is at the forefront of the media’s attention, with the dementia tax and social care continually in discussion at Westminster,” said Laura Cooper, PA to Alison Lee and HR administrator.
“The owners of the company always put on a large spread of afternoon tea, wine, cakes and sandwiches, to say thank you for all donations received, it’s a real treat for everyone involved.”
