HASLEMERE'S High Street re-opened in time for the weekend with celebrations all round.
Road closed signs were quickly removed on Friday afternoon and on Saturday it was time to party.
The Cuphill Morris Men joined in the fun with two displays in the High Street.
There were surprises too for the two youngsters whose names were drawn out as winners in the town's event-a-day programme of events.
The treasure hunt winner was Kathryn Root (4) from Popes Mead in Haslemere, who won an internet-ready computer donated by Church Micros, in the High Street.
Kathryn was the winner from the 36 young people who braved the flash floods in the town last Saturday and followed a trail of clues.
The draw for the name the road roller competition was won by five-year-old Matthew Pereria from Dolphin Close, Haslemere.
He chose the name "Rolly" and won for himself and his family tickets to this season's Haslemere Thespians' pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, at the Haslemere Hall.
On Friday, a pensioner from near Haslemere won the trolley dash draw at Somerfield supermarket in West Street. As the winner isn't quite as fast on his feet as he used to be, the store manager has volunteered to take on the job of filling the trolley after the store has closed for business on Sunday.
The president of Haslemere Chamber of Commerce, Melanie Odell, said: "We were pleased to see the road works finished on schedule and that further remedial works will be carried out shortly which, is it hoped, will solve any further flooding problems."
