A WAVERLEY Council debate about whether the New Farnham Repetory Company's five-play season should be allowed at the Redgrave turned into a debate about whether the Maltings should accommodate the pilot season.

But the result on both counts at Waverley's leisure committee meeting on Monday was a narrow vote against both proposals, the chairman's casting vote ruling out the use of the Maltings.
