Mutual exchange is open to secure tenants who are up to date with their rent and who are looking for a more suitable home for their needs.
Carole King, portfolio holder for housing said: “Mutual exchange increases flexibility for tenants looking for homes that better suit their needs and in a way that is very effective for both the tenant and the council.”
Last year’s event attracted 50 households who were able to get sound advice from council offices about the scheme.
To take part in the scheme tenants must be up to date with their rents and meet the terms of their tenancy conditions.
More information about the mutual exchange scheme is available from the council’s website www.waverley.gov.uk (search for Mutual Exchange).
