LARGE parts of East Hampshire came to a standstill on Monday and Tuesday, gripped by the worst snow storms for 18 years.
Public transport ground to a halt with bus and train services cancelled, schools closed, refuse and recycling services suspended, some shops unable to open and in Alton the Tuesday market failed to show.
