FARNHAM'S charities have congratulated and thanked departing town mayor Victor Scrivens for his fundraising efforts, which saw over £10,000 raied at his millennium ball.

The money from the event, at the Territorial Army's Guildford Road centre on Saturday, will be split between the Woodlarks Workshop, Bells Piece Leonard Cheshire home and the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
