A CHARITY supporting children with cerebral palsy and their families in Surrey and Hampshire is appealing for thrill-seekers to take part in a Hallowe’en-themed 100ft abseil later this month.

The Dame Vera Lynn Children’s charity abseil will take place on Saturday, October 31, at the Sandman Hotel in Crawley and participants are encouraged to don their scariest fancy dress outfits for the occasion.

Registration is open to anyone aged 13 and over and costs £30 per person with a minimum sponsorship of £100 per person.

Catherine Bristow, events fundraiser said: “As a charity the families we help rely on us so much and we want to continue to help them. Events like these which raise money means we can continue to do that.

“The service we provide can be life-changing and it is completely free of charge. The public have been great in supporting our events and I hope they can help us once again.”
