GRAYSHOTT’S Phyllis Tuckwell charity shop, on Headley Road, has been given a facelift, including a complete refurbishment and new stock.
“Our regular customers are fantastic and very happy to see us open again after a two-week refit. We have received lots of positive comments about the new look, the more inviting colour scheme, the increase in rails and display shelves, and the creation of more space and light.
“This is beneficial for both staff and customers and we are lucky to get enough volunteers to help with the shop. The visual impact is very important and we regularly change our stock to keep it fresh and interesting for everyone.”
Phyllis Tuckwell is the only hospice care service for adult patients, and their families, living with cancer or another terminal illness across the whole of west Surrey and part of north-east Hampshire.
For more than 35 years they have provided supportive and end-of-life care to 550,000 residents.
All services are free of charge to patients and their families but the hospice needs to raise more than £20,000 a day to offer such an exceptional standard of clinical care and support.
