BEVERLEY Edmondson Millinery in The Borough hosted a charity shopping evening on October 25 raising money for The Poppy Appeal.
Beverley has been working closely with The Poppy Appeal for the last five years, donating 20 per cent of sales from all poppy items, ranging from pins, scarves, jewellery, purses and cufflinks with items for both men and women.
“We have become well known locally for our range of poppies, and our donations to such a wonderful charity,” she said.
“With our new premises that we took on in May, our window displays are now able to be bigger and bolder, and we now have the space to be able to host these kinds of events for our clients and fingers crossed raise even more money for The Poppy Appeal.”
“We have incredible support from both the Royal British Legion and from Robert and Anthea Archer-Burton, the Poppy Appeal organisers for Farnham, to help us with our fundraising. It is a joy working so closely with them.”
The total amount raised for The Poppy Appeal so far this year through Beverley Edmondson Millinery has reached £550, but with still two weeks to go before Remembrance Sunday, Beverley and her team, hope that the donation total will rise substantially.
