CHILDREN attending the Whitehill and Bordon fun day in August were able to enter Home-Start WeyWater’s Christmas Card 2017 design competition - and winners have now been selected.

There were two age categories, under sevens and over sevens, with the winning designs printed on Home-Start WeyWater’s 2017 Christmas cards.

All proceeds from the sale of cards will help the charity to recruit and train volunteers who help local families with children under five.

Whitehill mayor Colin Leach chose the winners and awarded Emily Fucik’s design the under-sevens top spot, with Jessica Boyce and Jos Marbrook’s designs winning the over-sevens category.

All winners were presented their prizes - which included a voucher and a pen set, courtesy of Tesco in Bordon - by Mr Colin Leach and Fi Edwards, the store’s community champion. Children were also given a set of cards featuring their own designs.
