NHS chiefs have drawn up a charter for The Chase Community Hospital, promising a completely new integrated community nursing and care service for East Hampshire.

But beds currently based at the Bordon hospital used to care for the elderly and infirm, look set to be transferred, by creating a partnership with a nursing home operator designed to offer the service within the area instead.

Liphook GP Dr Barbara Rushton, who chairs the South Eastern Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said: "This charter is a pledge of our commitment to ensure The Chase has a long-term and sustainable future providing services that local people say they want and need.
